Meranda Vineyards and Meranda-Nixon Winery are
located in the heart of Brown County. Meranda Vineyards lies just seven miles north
of the Ohio River on a glaciated plateau at the top of a watershed with excellent air
drainage to Straight Creek and Red Oak Creek. In 2003, Meranda Vineyards planted three
acres of selected clones of Traminette and Cabernet Sauvignon, in 2005, one acre of Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay, and
in 2006, one acre of Norton and Catawba. Meranda Vineyards in 2007 extended their estate
again by adding another acre of Traminette.
